Dear Catholic Archbishop of San Antonio, Abp. Gustavo García-Siller,
We beg you to quickly recant what you said linking Donald Trump’s words to the tragedy in New Orleans. Your words have caused great scandal to many. President-elect Donald Trump is in no way responsible for this terrorist attack.
Last November, while many clerics remained silent as atheistic communism was attempting to take control, we the Catholic people voted overwhelming 58% to 40% in support of Trump in an historic landslide.
We saw through all the lies that the man they tried to kill twice was not a man fomenting hate as you infer, but someone who loves America and is willing to die for her.
Donald Trump is committed from Day 1 to help all Americans, even those who have wronged him. He has chosen an unprecedented number of qualified Catholics to serve him in his new administration including JD Vance, Marco Rubio, Tom Homan and a dozen others.
We pray especially that you will work with him to stop the flow of illegal immigration happening in your Archdiocese with the accompanying human trafficking and deaths caused from drugs like fentanyl.
On this Feast of the Holy Name of Jesus, may our Country and its leaders both civic and religious, rededicate ourselves to Him source of all goodness and truth.
