GERMAN BISHOP CALLS FOR MARRIED PRIESTS AND ORDAINED WOMEN

Bishop Franz Josef Overbeck recommends that the Catholic Church in Germany should allow married priests and ordain women as a solution to address the clergy crisis. This proposal aligns with the German “Synodal Way” initiative, which also supports same-sex marriage.
