The Biden campaign and White House have been aggressively pushing a narrative to downplay concerns about President Biden’s mental fitness, calling videos of him struggling “cheap fakes” and claiming they are being manipulated to distract from the 2024 election. However, two high-profile individuals, actor George Clooney and former Obama aide Jon Favreau, have spoken out, saying that they witnessed Biden struggling at a fundraiser in June.

Clooney, a longtime friend of Obama, wrote that the President was not the same man he knew in 2010 or 2020, and that he was not even himself at the debate. Favreau, who was also at the fundraiser, confirmed Clooney’s account, saying that everyone at the event thought the same thing except for those working for Biden.

This contradicts the narrative pushed by the Biden campaign and White House, which described the moment as simply Biden taking in applause and being led offstage by Obama. The article also mentions that several other attendees at the fundraiser have corroborated Clooney’s account, including a spokesperson for Jimmy Kimmel.

This suggests that the Biden campaign’s efforts to downplay concerns about his mental fitness have taken a significant hit due to these revelations.
