China was supposed to roll back the critical mineral export ban, but hasn’t done so, he said.

The tariff honeymoon agreement is over.
President Donald Trump claims that China has “totally violated” the agreement it had with the United States, after both superpowers agreed to a hiatus on tariffs earlier in May.
According to The Epoch Times, Trump said via a Truth Social post that the previous 145 percent tariffs he had imposed on Chinese imports made it “virtually impossible” for Beijing to have trades with Washington. Instead, the President said he chose to make an offer to China for their own good, saying that the situation was provoking riots in that country.
“Two weeks ago, China was in grave economic danger!” Trump wrote. “Many factories closed and there was, to put it mildly, ‘civil unrest.’ I saw what was happening and didn’t like it, for them, not for us. I made a FAST DEAL with China in order to save them from what I thought was going to be a very bad situation, and I didn’t want to see that happen.”
On Friday, Beijing apparently responded to Trump’s claims, though not directly, by saying that the U.S. should “cease discriminatory restrictions against China,” according to the BBC.
China and the U.S. had agreed to reduce tariffs, which had been set since April 2 for 90 days.
Trump wrote: “Because of this deal, everything quickly stabilized and China got back to business as usual. Everybody was happy! That is the good news!!! The bad news is that China, perhaps not surprisingly to some, HAS TOTALLY VIOLATED ITS AGREEMENT WITH US. So much for being Mr. NICE GUY!”
During a Washington press conference, the President claimed that Beijing had transgressed “a big part” of the agreement, and indicated he would resume talks with Xi.
“I was very nice to them, I helped them because they were in trouble with the stoppage of a massive amount of business,” Trump said. “I’m sure I’ll speak to President Xi and hopefully we’ll work that out. It’s a violation of the agreement.”
According to The Times, ambassador Jamieson Greer, U.S. Trade Representative said on CNBC that Washington has been monitoring China’s compliance with the latest agreement and that it’s “very concerned with it.”
Greer said the Beijing regime was the only government to stall U.S. tariffs when Trump first announced them, restricting exports of rare earth magnets and blacklisting U.S. companies, and after the Geneva agreement May 12, they have been slow to remove these countermeasures.
