The Department of Justice Department released a report Tuesday reproaching the Biden administration for unlawfully using a federal law intended to protect abortion centers from violence, while targeting Christians who oppose abortion.

The report was penned by the “Weaponization Working Group,” a taskforce formed under the current Trump administration to investigate alleged wrongdoing by the Biden administration. It comes as Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche supposedly faces pressure from the president to act, according to a story by Fox News.

The report in question alleges the Biden administration weaponized federal law by intentionally prosecuting pro-life activists under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, following a review of more than 700,000 internal records.

Prosecutors aligned with abortion-rights groups to find activists, pursued harsher sentences for pro-life defendants and, in some cases, retained evidence or tried to exclude jurors based on religion, according to DOJ officials.

“This department will not tolerate a two-tiered system of justice,” Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a statement. “No Department should conduct selective prosecution based on beliefs. The weaponization that happened under the Biden Administration will not happen again, as we restore integrity to our prosecutorial system.”

Under the Biden administration, officials labored strongly with groups including Planned Parenthood, the National Abortion Federation and the Feminist Majority Foundation, which helped gather intelligence on pro-life activists used in investigations and prosecutions, according to the report.

“The Biden DOJ prosecutors knowingly withheld evidence that defense counsel requested to prepare an affirmative defense,” the report said.
