After days of speculation about the war between Iran and the U.S. coming to an end, the song remains the same.
After a two-hour meeting at the Situation Room, President Donald Trump left Friday with no decision taken on an unsettled truce with Iran, according to The New York Times.
Hyped by Trump as the moment he would make a “final determination” on the propositioned agenda, nevertheless, the Times reported that talks remained uncertain when the meeting ended, according to Newsmax.
The proposed agreement would extend the current ceasefire and implement a pathway for additional talks between Washington and Tehran, according to the Times.

Trump wrote on Truth Social prior to the meeting that any deal would compel Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, promise never to create a nuclear weapon and permit the United States to take away its enriched uranium stockpile.
Still, The Times reported that Iranian officials have constantly rejected those demands.
Esmail Baghaei, a spokesman for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, told Iranian state media in a telephone interview Friday that the current negotiations are limited in scope and do not include what he described as “the nuclear issue,” according to the Times.
U.S. officials told the Times on Thursday that the proposed arrangement would mostly extend the ceasefire and create room for further negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program.
