100,000 March in Tel Aviv’s First Pride Parade Held Since October 7, 2023

Last Friday, Tel Aviv hosted its first “pride” parade since the Hamas attacks of October 7, 2023. Although the attendance was lower than in years past, an estimated 100,000 marchers attended this year’s event.

According to the Times of Israel, the municipality of Tel Aviv actually encouraged attendance with the slogan “vote with your feet” as a means to promote LGBT policies at the national level.

Performers at the parade were mostly “scantily clad, muscular men” dancing on floats. Apparently, one man arrived with a sign suggesting that gay people could still be “saved” by Jesus, and he was escorted away by police.

At the beginning of June, the Judean Desert hosted the Middle East’s largest pride festival ever which the government seemingly endorsed, as Catholics for Catholics previously reported

In April, the official X account for the government of Israel posted, “Pride rises at the lowest place on earth 🌈” in advertising the event. Catholics for Catholics directly replied to this post stating, “This demonic event will literally take place near the ancient ruins of Sodom and Gomorrah, a city destroyed in large part because of the sin of homosexuality…an event brought to you by America’s ‘greatest ally’.”

John Yep, president of Catholics for Catholics, further asked, “Why are we aiding countries involved with spreading evil ideologies?”

Cardinal Pizzaballa, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, continues to voice his concerns for the diminishing population of Christians in the Holy Land. “Palestinian Christians do not differ in their suffering from the rest of the Palestinians,” he said during a visit to France, where he was awarded for his peacemaking efforts in the region.
