The FBI and the top prosecutor of Los Angeles are investigating several election fraud probes in California, as the lethargic vote count in that state continues.
Bill Essayli, the First Assistant U.S. Attorney said Friday morning that he is joining forces with the Department of Justice “to conduct a comprehensive audit of California’s voter rolls.”
The probe comes as questions surround California’s slow-moving vote count.
“California’s election system has serious structural vulnerabilities. Universal vote-by-mail with no voter ID requirements creates conditions where fraud can go undetected and unpunished, eroding public confidence,” Essayli wrote on X.
“Without commenting on any specific investigation, my office has multiple election fraud investigations underway in coordination with @FBILosAngeles. We will follow the evidence wherever it leads and prosecute any violations of federal election law to the fullest extent.

“My office is also working closely with @AAGDhillon to conduct a comprehensive audit of California’s voter rolls,” the statement continued, tagging Harmeet K. Dhillon, the Justice Department’s assistant attorney general for the Civil Rights Division.
“The state has stonewalled every effort to verify that only eligible US citizens are registered to vote. This case is now before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal. My office will not look the other way. We will investigate and prosecute. Every legal vote deserves to be counted. Every illegal vote cancels one out.”
Dhillon responded shortly after Essayli announced the probes.
“Ask yourselves — why does California (& many other states) hide their voter rolls from the federal government at the same time they gladly hand them over to liberal activist groups?!” she wrote on X.
