The FBI is on a roll.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation of Tampa got two life sentences against child predators in the same week. This happened for the first time in the history of an FBI field office, The Daily Wire has learned.
The achievement came through different prosecutions entailing violent crimes against children, including one case in which a nonprofit exec who employed cruise ships to sexually abuse autistic minors was allegedly involved.
“This FBI is cracking down on child predators more aggressively than any other in history — arresting 2,900 alleged abusers (up 70%) and identifying or locating nearly 7,000 children (up 144%) since last year,” FBI Director Kash Patel told The Daily Wire exclusively.
“We have dedicated teams across the country vigorously pursuing criminals like these and rescuing victims every single day, saving lives, reuniting families, and putting animals who abuse children behind bars,” he added.
James Bernard Grover, 63, of Deltona, was sentenced by a federal judge to life in prison for allegedly coercing and enticing a minor to take part in sexual activity. A federal jury convicted Grover on February 27.
The founder and executive director of the Special Needs Advocacy Program, Grover allegedly ran a nonprofit organization serving the special needs community based in Sanford, according to the Department of Justice. But the prosecutors said he used his business program to meet an autistic minor and lulled the underage person into partaking in sexual activity.
In a separate case, the FBI secured a life sentence against an Orlando man, Montrey Roseberry, 20, who was convicted of multiple child sex crimes.
Roseberry operated a scheme to extort, intimidate, and threaten children into producing child sex abuse material, according to the DOJ.
