This past Saturday, a group of pro-abortion protesters stormed Holy Mass at Westminster Cathedral in London which was part of the March for Life UK event.
The Mass was attended by an “unprecedented” number of fifteen bishops according to The Tablet and approximately 9,000 people attended the march and speeches.
Protesters stormed the Mass, leading the organist to “drown out the sound of the commotion while the protesters were escorted out of the cathedral, before Mass could resume.”
Video clips of the disruption began circulating on social media shortly thereafter.
Kristan Hawkins, the president of the US-based Students for Life organization and a Catholic herself shared a video clip of the disruption on X and wrote, “BREAKING: Pro-abortion activists STORMED Westminster Cathedral during Mass. Imagine hating us this much simply because we believe babies deserve to live.”
“The attacks on Catholics must end,” she concluded.
Another user, pro-life advocate Sara Hope Spencer associated with the March for Life UK, shared additional information on her X account.
“The group which stormed @WestminsterCath on Saturday during the middle of Catholic Mass are the Feminist Strike Coalition,” she wrote.
“Pro-abortion groups are *commending* their actions on social media and describing @March4LifeUK as a ‘far right group’. Unbelievable.”
“@metpoliceuk were these individuals arrested?” Spencer asked.

An image she included in the X post was a screenshot of an Instagram post that appeared to celebrate the disruption. An account called “thedykeproject,” which appears to have been connected to the protest of the March for Life UK, shared a clip of the Mass protesters and wrote, “Pro-life? That’s a lie! You don’t care if people die!”
“This morning, members of the Feminist Strike Coalition disrupted an anti-abortion service at Westminster Cathedral hosting the far right group March for Life. Fifteen Catholic bishops attended to call for an END to our right to access safe and legal abortions,” the post reads.
“March for Life is partly funded by the Alliance Defending Freedom, a US-based far right Christian nationalist organisation with deep links to Reform UK. As feminists, as queer and trans people, we’re fighting back!”
“We spoke up for everyone around the world who has died because they couldn’t access reproductive care, and everyone who has been bullied by the church and incarcerated by the state for accessing the care they need,” the post concludes.
In the United Kingdom, abortion is already legal up to 24 weeks gestation.
