In an exclusive video with Sean Hannity, Michael Desronvil, known as the “lone juror” who refused to acquit Lindsay Clancy of the charges for murdering her three children in Massachusetts, publicly thanked those who have supported him during the intense scrutiny following the trial.
Since the proceedings against Clancy ended in a mistrial because of Desronvil, he has faced backlash from much of the public and media. The jury was deadlocked in an 11-1 position, with the eleven favoring to render Clancy not guilty by reason of insanity. Nine of the jurors were women. Desronvil alone held out, even under pressure.
During the sixth day of jury deliberations, the attorney for Clancy tried to have Desronvil removed from the jury.
After other jurors in the case singled him out in media interviews after the trial, although not by name, Desronvil shared a statement through his attorney. “Based on all the physical evidence, key witnesses, and what the prosecution presented, I thought it was enough proof that she (Clancy) knew exactly what she was doing and planned,” he said.
It quickly became public information that Desronvil is a devout Catholic.

Hi, my name is Michael Péguy Desronvil, also known as the “lone juror.”
I know the whole focus has been on me but we want to reel everything back and put the focus on the three angels…the ones that can’t speak for themselves, the ones that can’t defend themselves, and the ones that can’t fight the battles.
And those are Cora, Dawson and Callan.
A little bit about me: I want to thank God for my Catholic faith. I want to thank God for blessing me with the ability to love my daughter. And…foremost I would like to thank everyone, every individual that has supported me throughout this difficult situation.Your prayers, your emotional support, your psychological support, is tremendous to my heart, that I feel, that I sense, that I know.
I do want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.
On Tuesday, a court hearing for the case concluded with no official retrial date set, but another hearing will take place on November 2. The defense attorney for Clancy is now raising the question of whether Clancy committed the murders at all. This is a new strategy, as during the trial, the defense attorneys did not contest the allegation that she was responsible for the deaths of her children, only that she was suffering from postpartum psychosis while committing the act.
After Tuesday’s hearing, Desronvil’s attorney told reporters that he simply wants “justice for the children” and privacy.
