Rallying the GOP for the upcoming midterm elections, President Donald Trump urged voters to show up at the polls and vote for Republicans, vowing to travel all across the country to support the party’s candidates in a determined effort to help them avoid losing at the polls
“Pretend I’m on the ballot,” he urged. “I’m on the ballot. Just one more time.”
According to a story by Fox News, Republicans are facing diminishing weeks until the midterms, more disapproval and dimming political forecasts for the GOP. Still, Trump being Trump, brought out a new idea in the middle of an almost two-hour speech: a cool $5,000 check for every U.S. adult if they help Republicans stay in charge of Congress during the November elections.
Trump, according to a story by the Daily Caller, said it will be “very much like a successful company will do a cash distribution to a shareholder, or like last year when I gave our great members of the military $1776.”
“The only caveat I have is that the dividend that we’re making must be spent in the United States of America,” Trump said.
The President added that the Democrats couldn’t do that because they “don’t do tariffs.”
“All they know is poverty and how to ruin our country,” he said. “But we’re making a fortune.”
The U.S. has roughly 269.7 million adults, meaning this program would cost around $1.35 trillion.

Still, Trump warned that the future would be bleak if the GOP losses in the midterms. He added that the Republican work on decisive issues will be obliterated if the GOP loses majorities in either or both chambers of Congress.
“Because if we lose, you’re going to lose your border,” he said. “You’re going to lose your tax cuts. You’re going to lose your safety and security. You’re going to lose your wealth.”
Fox News polling shows Trump is underwater with voters on the economy, cost of living and inflation. Sixty-five percent of voters disapprove of his handling of the economy.
