Not exactly the “Teflon President” like Bill Clinton, Donald Trump has still proven to be resilient, especially against impeachments, says former Vice President Kamala Harris.

Impeach Donald Trump? Not a good idea, says former Vice President and the President’s nemesis, Kamala Harris
Harris has warned Democrats against impeaching President Trump for a third time if they retake control of the House of Representatives in next week’s midterm elections, according to a story by the New York Post.
“I think that going in the direction of impeachment is not a good idea, just to be honest with you, just because we have limited resources,” Harris told MeidasTouch’s Aaron Parnas in a Tuesday interview.
“I think the energy and the resources need to be put into accountability, need to be put into investigations,” she added. “And that’s where the time should be spent.”
“Remember, I was in the Senate for the last go-round, and the votes aren’t there,” Harris emphasized. “So, that’s how I feel, but you know, also I think after the election, we all have to just also agree that our attitude has to be to get stuff done, and the tone and our kind of orientation around it has to be kind of ruthless.
“They’re [Republicans are] ruthless, but they’re cruel. And when I say we should be ruthless, I don’t mean cruel, but we should be uncompromising.”

Harris has pointed out that Trump endured two impeachment attempts during his first term. Harris, who was in the Senate at the time, voted to convict Trump over a supposed attempted quid pro quo involving Ukraine aid.
At the time she was vice president during the Senate trial following Trump’s second impeachment for allegedly inciting the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.
Nevertheless, Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), the House Minority Leader has said that Democrats haven’t “ruled anything in, and we haven’t ruled anything out” in terms of whether to impeach Trump, but he has suggested that other administration officials like War Secretary Pete Hegseth are likely to be pursued.
