Just before the upcoming midterm elections, the transgender issue has resurfaced in the Lone Star State.
According to a story by the Daily Wire, in recent days some Texas voters were shocked to find pamphlets in the mail steering students on how to rebel against their families and get life-altering gender procedures.
According to the Wire story, the brochure is promoted as a “TEXAS TRANS AND LGBTQ+ STUDENT RESOURCE GUIDE” and is directed to “students” of the household. Still, the source of the mailers remains a mystery, and the timing around the midterm election has raised questions about their sources.
The brochure extolls students with a step-by-step guide on how to deal with situations while being transgender, without parental support.
“You deserve support even if your parents don’t understand or agree with you,” the mailer reads, adding that there are steps one can take “if you’re under 18.”
This was sent to my home. Addressed to the “students” of our family from the “Texas Transgender Student Union.” It coaches minors on what to do if their parents are not supportive of their “trans” identity and walks them through getting emancipated. THIS IS EVIL!!!!! https://t.co/lTTy7cz18N

In addition, the brochure pushes minors on how “to be emancipated” from their parents and tells them how transgender children can readily get hormones or sex change surgeries.
“You don’t need to have everything figured out. You don’t have to know whether you’re definitely trans. You don’t have to decide about hormones or surgery right now. You don’t have to convince your parents,” the guide states.
“Your job right now is to stay safe, find people who will listen to you, and give yourself time to figure out who you are,” the pamphlet adds. “There are other kids in Texas going through this too — and there are adults whose actual job is to help you. Even if your family doesn’t accept you as you are, groups like these are ready to become your found family.”
Nevertheless, according to the Wire story the Transgender Education Network of Texas (TENT), whose name is on the flyers, said via a statement on Saturday that comparable text messages sent to voters and the “mailers were not authored, authorized, approved, or distributed” by them “and are not affiliated with our organization.”
“We will continue to monitor the situation and remain committed to our organizational values of unequivocal support for trans Texas, their families, and their loved ones. Trans Texans belong here, this is our home and we’re not going anywhere,” the organization said.
