In its immigration juggernaut, the Trump administration reached a milepost in its enforcement push, while top federal agencies are taking steps to remove the status of millions of illegal immigrants since the President started his second term.
According to a story by the Daily Wire, since President Donald Trump’s second inauguration, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has worked to revoke or end the status of about 2.2 million illegal immigrants, the Department of Homeland Security said. The initiatives taken by USCIS under Trump is almost seven times what the Biden administration achieved in its last two years.
Nevertheless, it is not clear whether all 2.2 million illegal immigrants lost their status.
Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said the moves are proof that the president’s promises to tighten restrictions to prevent mass migration have become a reality.
“President Trump promised the American people that our immigration laws would be enforced, and these numbers reflect the scale of that commitment,” Mullin said. “Those who abuse or flagrantly disregard our immigration system are now on notice that these violations of law will not be tolerated or overlooked. Securing our border was only the beginning.”

According to a September ICE report, between October 2025 and August 24, 2026, ICE deported roughly 421,182 aliens from the United States.
In addition, the Trump administration has also canceled more than 300,000 visas, including about 4,000 linked to birth tourism and 6,000 held by foreign students who committed crimes or have connections to terrorism, the White House announced earlier this month.
