The number represents a roughly 50,000-person increase since the Homeland Security secretary gave an update in July.

During Tuesday’s seminal midterm elections, the total number of noncitizens on voter rolls may surpass 300,000 nationwide, coming months after Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said that 250,000 noncitizens were found in four states.
According to a story by the Epoch Times, in July, Mullin said that federal officials discovered 250,000 non-Americans were registered to vote in California, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Nevada.
“We can get access to the information. And that’s how we found 250,000. That number is actually pushed north of 300,000,” Mullin told Newsmax in an interview released on Oct. 30.
“We can tell if they’re registered to vote, if they’re legally in this country or not,” Mullin said, adding that the Department of Homeland Security is acting with the Department of Justice (DOJ) to establish whether those noncitizens are illegal immigrants or not.
DHS uncovered 300,000 potential noncitizen voter records and 1,600 active investigations—with 100+ convictions already. States hand out IDs and refuse to check them at the polls. Even a fraction swings an election. Pass the SAVE Act now. Only citizens vote. Period. https://t.co/TftgZXvQHh

Mullin said that additional information will be provided after ballots are cast, the secretary said, adding that he cannot at this time determine whether they voted in the Nov. 3 midterm election. In the interview, he did not say where the additional 100,000 possible noncitizens were found.
“I can’t say whether they voted or not. We’re still going through that,” Mullin told the outlet, while he announced that more than 1,600 investigations are ongoing with 100 convictions to date.
As the pivotal midterm 2026 elections are underway, Mullin’s comments came as an appeals court panel ruled against the DOJ’s petition to have California officials set aside 20,000 ballots based on indications that they were potentially cast by noncitizens, meaning another legal blow for the Trump administration’s efforts to do away with what it says is voter fraud ahead of the midterms.
