A study said that immigration has drastically changed since Donald Trump took office.

Call it the Trump effect.
It seems that President Donald Trump’s immigration policies have not only stopped the Biden era border surge, but it has actually reversing it, according to a recent study.
According to a story published by The Washington Times, Census Bureau data shows that hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants had left the work force and returned to their home countries.
Initial estimates by the Center for Immigration Studies, using the Census Bureau’s monthly survey, show that the number of immigrants in the labor force fell by about 600,000 from January through May and the overall number of immigrants in the U.S. dropped by 957,000.
“It looks like there’s been a Trump effect on the number of illegal immigrants in the country, based on the best data that we have,” said Steven A. Camarota, the lead author of the study.
Camarota said the United States now has 14.8 million illegal immigrants, 1 million less than his calculations in January when President Biden shifted power to Trump.
The Trump era mandates have unleashed deportation officers who were shackled by Biden-era restrictions; now they are told to ramp-up the number of arrests to unprecedented levels. The Department of Homeland Security is urging illegal immigrants to “self-deport” before they are caught.
During the Biden era more or less there was an open border where millions of migrants rushed in. But now, under the Trump regime the border has been mostly sealed, which leads to newcomers not being able to replace the ones who are leaving.
Meanwhile, businesses like agriculture have complained that their largely immigrant workforce isn’t showing up for work, threatening America’s farming industry. Business groups have warned of broader workforce issues.
