In one of the latest casualties of the Israel-Iran war, an Iranian missile struck a main hospital in southern Israel, wounding at least 240 people.
According to Newsmax, Iran attacked Israel with a missile that carries several warheads. These types of weapons are harder to strike down by Israeli air defense, since they have to track down more than one warhead at a time.
Most of those injured Thursday were lightly wounded, including more than 70 people from the Soroka Medical Center in the southern city of Beersheba, reported Newsmax. As emergency teams evacuated the injured, smoke rose from the area.

Nevertheless, the main impact of the Iranian strike was held at an old surgery building which had been evacuated. Hospital officials said that after the attack, the place was closed to all patients, except those with life-threatening cases.
Soroka provides services to about 1 million residents in southern Israel and has over 1,000 hospital beds.
The Iranian attack led Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to condemn it, saying his country will respond: “we will exact the full price from the tyrants in Tehran.”
Iran has fired hundreds of missiles and drones at Israel, though most have been shot down by Israel’s multitiered air defenses.
