Make Washington D.C. beautiful again.

That is what President Donald Trump is promising for the nation’s capital, as he announced on Friday that his plans go far beyond bringing crime down.

Trump said his team at the White House is preparing a $2 billion plant to make D.C. “beautiful” again, he said, as he spoke at the Kennedy Center, according to Newsmax. “Now it’s going to be clean,” Trump said. “I’m giving out a contract real soon.”

Trump spoke about Chief of Staff Susie Wiles when he described what was happening and what was going on regarding the beautification plans.

“Susie’s with me — we’re going to be raising about $2 billion from Congress. And Congress is happy to do it. And we’re going to wisely spend the money,” Trump said.

As part of the president’s beautification plan, he mobilized the National Guard to patrol the D.C. area, with the goal of reducing crime in the D.C. area. He told reporters he was proud that no murders were committed last week.

“That’s the first time in anybody’s memory that you haven’t had a murder in a week,” Trump said.

“We’re going to head out right from the Capitol and the White House. And if you look at a circle, and go about three miles out, it’s going to be beautiful,” Trump said.

As for the improvements, they will include improved street lighting, new asphalt and coated roads. He added that despite the lack of good contractors, no worries.

“I know all the good contractors. So, this place will be beautified within a period of months. So, it’ll be safe and beautified,” Trump said.
