Evie Parts, a long-distance runner got depressed after being kicked off the team and allegedly contemplated suicide

A male-born runner sued a college in Pennsylvania and the National Collegiate Athletic Association, claiming he was illegally removed from the women’s track team.
According to Newsmax, Evie Parts, a long-distance runner, sued Swarthmore College and the NCAA, saying that he was expelled from the track team on Feb. 6, which was the same day the NCAA issued a policy on transgender athletes.
Because the NCAA isn’t a governmental organization and thus doesn’t have jurisdiction over Pennsylvania state law or the Title IX federal statute, the lawsuit claims the removal of Parts was wrong.
The new policy was released a day after President Donald Trump signed an executive order aimed at forbidding biological males from taking part in women’s sports.
Swarthmore college said via a statement that it “deeply values our transgender community members,” according to ESPN.
“We recognize that this is an especially difficult and painful time for members of the transgender community, including student athletes,” Swarthmore’s statement continued. “We worked to support Evie Parts in a time of rapidly evolving guidance, while balancing the ability for other members of the women’s track team to compete in NCAA events.”
The lawsuit claims that Parts joined the team in 2020. But after he was expelled from the team, the athlete went into “depressive state” and wished to commit suicide.
