At last, after almost four years of war, the presidents of Russia and Ukraine are scheduled to meet to discuss putting an end to the bloody fighting between both countries.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet face to face within a span of two weeks to consider an end to the war in Ukraine, according to German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
Merz spoke with reporters after meeting with President Donald Trump, Zelensky, and other European leaders at the White House, according to The Daily Wire. The German Chancellor said that the leaders of Ukraine and Russia would convene face-to-face soon.
Trump told Zelensky Monday that the U.S. president would meet with them in the peace talks between the two presidents “if you want me there.”

After Zelensky and Putting meet, President Trump said he would join them later.
“Everyone is very happy about the possibility of PEACE for Russia/Ukraine. At the conclusion of the meetings, I called President Putin, and began the arrangements for a meeting, at a location to be determined, between President Putin and President Zelensky,” Trump posted on social media. “After that meeting takes place, we will have a Trilat, which would be the two Presidents, plus myself, [T]his was a very good, early step for a War that has been going on for almost four years.”
