A new U.S. census is on the way. And it will not count illegal aliens.
President Donald Trump announced he has instructed the Commerce Department to initiate the creation of a new census. He said illegal immigrants will not be included among those counted.
“I have instructed our Department of Commerce to immediately begin work on a new and highly accurate CENSUS based on modern day facts and figures and, importantly, using the results and information gained from the Presidential Election of 2024,” the president said in the Truth Social Post, according to Fox News. “People who are in our Country illegally WILL NOT BE COUNTED IN THE CENSUS. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

The last U.S. Census took place in 2020. The next scheduled census, which happens every ten years, is slated for 2030. The census is crucial when it comes to shaping the political weight each state has. The population figures of each estate are used to allocate how many seats it gets in the House of Representatives.
Political power players use census figures to see how many electoral votes each state gets, especially for presidential elections. The count decides how many votes each state gets according to the Senate and House seats.
During his first term Trump decided to exclude illegal aliens from being counted under a memorandum. But President Joe Biden revoked that order in 2021. Trump revoked Biden’s order to count illegal aliens this year.
Your action is key to winning the next Presidential Election.
