One of the most famous conservative psychologists who has been in the midst of the culture wars is now battling for his life, according to his daughter.
Jordan Peterson, known to millions across the world for bestsellers like the 2018 self-help book “12 Rules for Life,” has been deeply ill, said his daughter, Mikhaila Peterson. She posted an update about her father’s condition on social media and asked her followers and fans of the author to pray for him, according to the National Catholic Register.
In a video posted on Oct. 4, Mikhaila shared that her father — who joined The Daily Wire in 2022 after rising to international fame after his public criticism of a Canadian bill that moved to add gender protections to the country’s code of human rights, has been almost an entire month in the intensive care unit fighting pneumonia and sepsis.
Mikhaila said her father’s condition has been “near death” and that “this summer has been exceedingly difficult,” calling the entire ordeal “terrifying.”
In your charity, offer a Holy Rosary for @jordanbpeterson. This is the powerful weapon through which his wife Tammy healed and found Jesus, His Church and the Eucharist.

St. Raphael, medicine of God and terror of demons, pray for Jordan Peterson and his entire family. https://t.co/T39lcQy5z3
Tammy, Peterson’s wife, has been outspoken about her own health issues, including a cancer diagnosis that led to her own conversion to Catholicism, which started by praying the Rosary.
Though not openly converting to Catholicism-yet-Peterson has expressed openness to the one, true, apostolic faith. Talking about the cross to EWTN News’ Colm Flynn, he said the cross symbolized “the point where everything comes together. It’s the agony of life. And the triumph of life in the face of mortality.”
In addition, Jordan Peterson has called his wife’s conversion, “ridiculously great.” Flynn pushed him on why he himself hasn’t chosen to convert. After a pause, he said it was in “Tammy’s destiny.” And when broached on whether it was in his own destiny, he responded, “It’s unlikely.”

During an interview with Raymond Arroyo on The World Over, Peterson said Tammy’s newfound Catholic faith has “been nothing but good for her. And it’s a wonderful thing to see. And so now, has that increased my faith in God? Well, like I said, it was already there to a large degree.”
