The scientists, made up mostly by Democrats, did not find any major faults in the report that came out last April.

As it turns out, Donald Trump was right.
A report ordered by President Trump on the scientific basis for providing “gender-affirming care” to kids — which found nearly no medical evidence to back hormone therapy and other treatments for minors who identify as transgender — was published in its final version Wednesday after passing scientific peer analysis.
Examined by 10 different experts and research groups, mostly Democrats, none identified important faults in the findings that US doctors should pause giving common gender dysphoria treatments until more is known about the long-term effects on patients, the lead author told The New York Post.
“They were given the chance to show mistakes, show errors. And they were not able to identify any,” said Dr. Leor Sapir, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute and one of the project researchers.
“They had some minor comments here and there, but nothing that gets to the main findings about evidence and ethics,” he said.
“And that includes the former president of the Endocrine Society, the very organization that has been one of the chief proponents of these interventions,” Sapir added. The report was first released in May after Trump issued Executive Order 14187 after taking office.
According to the Report, “Under President Biden, the Federal government promoted a grotesque social and scientific experiment on American children. During the first three years of his administration alone, more than 7,000 children were administered puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones. Over 4,000 were subjected to sex-trait modification surgical interventions, such as mastectomies. These interventions were marketed to children on the basis of ideologically driven and financially motivated junk-science.”
The report continued: “On January 28, 2025, President Trump signed Executive Order 14187, “Protecting Children from Chemical and Surgical Mutilation.” EO 14187 prohibits Federal departments from funding, sponsoring, assisting, or facilitating the chemical and surgical mutilation of minors and directs them to stop these immoral, unjust, and disproven practices more broadly to the greatest extent possible. The following sections summarize initial steps taken to implement this Order.”
“They [the critics] can condemn the report all they want, but they were not able to identify a single mistake. Not one,” Sapir said.
It is not known what the Trump administration will do with the report, but Sapir said he hopes that the medical community will retreat from the culture war debate over gender-affirming care and look at the science.
“Let’s reassess. At minimum, let’s allow for open debate. Let’s listen to dissenting perspectives. Let’s do rigorous analysis,” Sapir said.
