There’s a new Sheriff in Minnesota.
Well, not exactly a Sheriff, but a Border Czar, Tom Homan, the seasoned law enforcement officer who met on Tuesday with Minnesota governor Tim Walz, with both sides agreeing to have an “ongoing dialogue” regarding the current crackdown on illegal immigration, according to Newsmax.
President Donald Trump deployed Homan to Minnesota on Monday, after weeks of violent anti-ICE protests and the deaths of two protestors in a span of three weeks. Homan was also scheduled to meet with Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey on Tuesday.
“I hear that’s all going well,” Trump told reporters before leaving for Iowa.
Despite a more conciliatory tone, Trump spoke with Walz on Monday and presented three concrete moves the governor must make to end the bedlam and prevent further mayhem.

– "Impartial" investigations into the Minneapolis shootings (where federal agents took down threats during ICE ops)
– A massive pullback of federal forces from Minnesota

First, the President wants Minnesota officials to turn over all criminal illegal aliens held in state prisons and local jails — as well as those with pending warrants or known criminal histories — to federal authorities for instant deportation.
Second, state and local law enforcement officials must concur to transfer all illegal aliens detained by local police into federal custody.
Third, local police departments must vigorously assist federal agents in apprehending and detaining illegal aliens wanted for crimes, particularly violent offenses.
Walz and Homan “will continue working toward those goals, which the President also agreed to yesterday,” the governor’s office said Tuesday. The statement from Walz’s office also called for “impartial investigations into the shootings” of protesters Renee Good and Alex Pretti.
“We’re doing a big investigation. I want to see the investigation. I’m going to be watching over it. I want a very honorable and honest investigation — I have to see it myself,” Trump told reporters.
Homan is directly under the command of Trump during his talks in Minnesota.
