Tom Homan, who was presented last week with the Protector of America award by Catholics for Catholics, is heading to the turbulent area.

In the midst of boiling tensions, President Donald Trump said he is deploying his Border Czar to Minnesota to take charge of immigration enforcement operations in the state on Monday.
The President’s action comes two days after a man was fatally shot by Homeland Security agents, according to a story by The Epoch Times. Tom Homan, the Border Czar, is a seasoned Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer.
In addition, Catholics for Catholics presented Homan last week with the Protector of America Award, for his effort in rescuing more 62,000 missing children – a number which has now been updated to 129,000. The immigration veteran dedicated the award to the law enforcement officers and staff that have worked “tirelessly to run down hundreds of thousands of leads, work numerous investigations, and locate more than 129,000 unaccompanied alien children of the more than 300,000 children that the Biden administration turned over to unvetted sponsors, lost track of and weren’t looking for.”
“Every child is precious to the Lord. And this administration will undertake whatever efforts necessary to safeguard this population, the most vulnerable among us,” Homan said.
Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, said in a post that Homan would be probing fraud in Minnesota, working with the efforts of several agencies that was initiated several weeks ago, after reports of fraudulent activity targeting federal and state entitlement programs.
Homan, Leavitt added, would also be in charge of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations in Minnesota to target illegal immigrants.

“In addition, Tom will coordinate with those leading investigations into the massive, widespread fraud that has resulted in billions of taxpayer dollars being stolen from law-abiding citizens in Minnesota,” Leavitt wrote on X.
Homan’s deployment comes after the Trump administration started its most ambitious immigration operation to date in Minneapolis, followed by weeks of violent protests by residents and activists and resulting in two shooting deaths.
