We are just about one month away from our Catholic Prayer for America Gala in Washington, D.C. which has already drawn a lot of excitement and support from around the world.
We are excited to announce that we will have some very special relics of the saints with us on that special evening of prayer!
Relics are a beautiful tradition in the Catholic Church and founded in Sacred Scripture: “So extraordinary were the mighty deeds God accomplished at the hands of Paul that when face cloths or aprons that touched his skin were applied to the sick, their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them.” Acts 19
We are going to have relics in person with us because the purpose of the saints is to help us join our prayers to Jesus Christ.
Among the many special relics that will be present on that day, March 19th, is one close to my heart. As you know, this gala is taking place on the feast of St. Joseph. We have a very rare relic of the mantle of St. Joseph that will be there for veneration!
Along with the relic of St. Joseph, we are also going to have relics from some of our most beloved American saints including St. John Neumann, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, St. Frances Cabarini, and St. Kateri Tekakwitha.
We will also have relics of St. Michael the Archangel, St. John Paul II, St. Pius X, St. Vincent de Paul, St. Carlo Acutis, St. Teresa of Avila, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Maximilian Kolbe, St. Maria Goretti, St. Catherine Labouré, St. Gianna Molla, St Vincent de Paul, and many more!

As we celebrate the 250-year anniversary of our country, how fitting is it that we will have some of these men and women with us who have gone before us in our nation who are now declared saints of the Catholic Church!
As we close off this feast day of St. Jacinta & St. Francisco, who were privileged to see Our Lady of Fatima as young children, let us ask for their intercession and the intercession of all of the saints as we continue to love this land that we love and prepare for the Catholic Prayer for America Gala next month.
