It’s all a smokescreen.

Hillary Clinton, the former First Lady, said GOP House members who are probing the Epstein files are using her and former President Bill Clinton to deflect awareness on President Donald Trump’s relationship with the shamed financier.

In an interview with the BBC in Berlin, where she attended the annual World Forum, the former Secretary of State said she believed the rekindled attention on her family is political, according to Newsmax.

Hillary Clinton is scheduled to testify on Feb. 26, followed by Bill Clinton on Feb. 27 — an atypical moment in congressional history. The last former president who testified before a congressional panel was Gerald Ford in 1983.

Led by James Comer, R-Ky., Chair of the House Oversight Committee, the congressional group has demanded testimony from the Clintons as part of a broader inquiry into Jeffrey Epstein’s political and financial network.

The committee recently decided to drop a planned contempt vote after the Clintons settled to appear for closed-door depositions.

“Look at this shiny object. We’re going to have the Clintons, even Hillary Clinton, who never met the guy,” she told the BBC, while acknowledging she met Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell “on a few occasions.”

By contrast, Bill Clinton, who is named in the files, admitted he knew Epstein but said he ceased contact more than 20 years ago.

Still, neither Bill Clinton nor Hillary Clinton has been accused of misconduct by Epstein’s victims, and both have refused knowing about his sex trafficking.

Also named in the files, Trump has vigorously rejected any transgression and said he cut ties with Epstein decades ago.
