Fox Varian had her healthy breasts removed about a year after questioning her gender.

New, grisly details have come out in the case of a young woman, a detransitioner who last week was able to win a decisive victory against the doctors who removed her healthy breasts when she was just 16.
Just one year after she first started questioning her gender, Fox Varian had her breasts removed in a procedure called a mastectomy. The doctors allegedly also pressured her mother into signing off on the surgery; she was told that her daughter would kill herself if she did not permit the process.
Originally named Isabella, Varian changed her name many times during the fallout from her parents’ split, which included the estrangement of her father, independent journalist Benjamin Ryan said on X. Ryan was in the courtroom for the entire trial, and reported for the Free Press.
Varian all along suffered from depression, anxiety, and social phobia and was diagnosed with autism and went from one school to another, Ryan said. She also had eating disorders and body-image problems.
At 15, Varian started to doubt her gender “during sessions with her psychologist,” who has been identified as psychologist Kenneth Einhorn. Just 11 months after Varian started to socially “transition,” the 16-year-old was on an operating table, where Dr. Simon Chin removed her healthy breasts.
Like Varian’s case, there are more than two dozen still pending, with detransitioners suing medical specialists for irreparable damage. Varian’s verdict could be the beginning of the end of the mutilation of children in the name of transgenderism.
“The case could be a model for other lawsuits over such surgeries performed on minors,” legal expert Jonathan Turley said. “There are more than two dozen such lawsuits currently pending in various courts.”
Chloe Cole, an activist and detransitioner who started to medically transition at just 13 years old, said Varian’s verdict gives her hope.

Varian, who just turned 22, was awarded roughly $1.6 million for past and future suffering, and an additional $400,000 for future medical costs.
