Hinting that it is far from crying uncle, Iran spurned an American offer to stop the war, instead it launched additional attacks against Israel and some Gulf Arab nations, including an offensive that triggered a big fire at Kuwait International Airport.
Iran’s hubris comes even as the United States is deploying elite units like the 82nd Airborne Division and Marines to the region. Still, Iran is launching airstrikes.
According to a story by Newsmax, an Iranian state television English-language broadcaster cited an anonymous official as saying Iran rebuffed the U.S. ‘s ceasefire offer and has its own ultimatums for an end to the fighting.
“Iran will end the war when it decides to do so and when its own conditions are met,” the hardliner-controlled Press TV quoted the official as saying.

But Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary claimed the U.S. and Iran are in ongoing talks even as Iranian officials negate it.
“Talks continue. They are productive, as the president said on Monday, and they continue to be,” Leavitt said at a White House briefing on Wednesday.
But Leavitt cautioned that if talks with Iran don’t succeed, President Donald Trump “will ensure they are hit harder than they have ever been hit before.”
