Kash Patel’s girlfriend, Alexis Wilkins (age 27), took to X to publish a 13-post thread placing Catholics for Catholics at the center of an alleged Russian conspiracy.
Wilkins stated that she has spent months “learning to build programs” to identify data that supposedly confirms her theory – but this data appears to be just gauging social media reaction to different stories. Wilkins is a country music singer.
“A foreign-linked influence network has been running coordinated operations against the Trump administration for 22 months. I know it’s real because they ran one against me. I was targeted in something I knew was far from organic,” Wilkins wrote. Wilkins is referring to scrutiny she and boyfriend Kash Patel, Director of the FBI, faced after members of the public complained that he was using FBI planes to fly and visit her.
When social media users realized that Patel is almost twenty years Wilkins’ senior, some floated the idea that she might be a “honeypot” – a term used to refer to a woman, usually young and beautiful, positioned to lure in unsuspecting men who have information or resources.
Well, it’s not every day that the Director of the FBI’s girlfriend @AlexisWilkins goes on a long unprovoked attack against @GenFlynn @RealCandaceO @joekent16jan19 and us here at @CforCatholics

Wilkins is suing at least three people who suggested publicly that she may be a honeypot.
The crux of Wilkins’ argument is that General Michael Flynn, an advisor and friend to Catholics for Catholics (who recently spoke at the 2026 Catholic Prayer for America event), is “the anchor of a digital infrastructure that has been repeatedly activated — at every major Republican fracture point.”
Wilkins essentially argues that the same “digital infrastructure” – aka, groups of social media users – strongly reacted in a similar manner to particular stories, including the implication that she is a honeypot, Charlie Kirk’s assassination, Joe Kent resigning from the Trump administration and subsequently speaking at Catholics for Catholics’ gala, and opposition to the Iranian war.
According to Wilkins, because Russian media outlet Russia Today (RT) posted about her denial that she is a honeypot for Patel, and other “Kremlin-adjacent Orthodox” media amplified the story, and that Alexander Dugin who she describes as “Putin’s ideological philosopher” has publicly commented on the dissolution of the MAGA movement and “The Flynn network” is “manufacturing that fracture domestically” – we are all part of a foreign operation run by Russia and General Michael Flynn.
Interestingly, the anti-Catholic manifesto endorsed by Senator Ted Cruz last week also mentioned Dugin.
Candace Owens, who also spoke at the Catholics for Catholics gala, reacted on X: “The background is that Alexis Wilkins, (Kash Patel’s girlfriend) does not understand why some people think she’s a Mossad honey pot. So she has spent months piecing together a theory that Vladimir Putin’s philosopher Alexander Dugin is running an operation to bring [down] Trump, through General Michael Flynn, Joe Kent and the Catholic Church (nevermind the schism) further aided by people who are asking questions about Charlie Kirk’s assasination. Because none of that could be authentic. Vladimir Putin sits at the top.”
The “schism” Owens refers to is the one between Roman Catholics and the Orthodox.
Many Catholics feel Patel has not adequately addressed the memo that disseminated through the FBI during the Biden administration that targeted traditional Catholics. Last week, lawyers for Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog organization, argued in court that the FBI has not complied with FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) record requests pertaining to that 2023 FBI memo.
