Dear Archbishop Henning,
On Tuesday, August 11, the Governor of your State signed into law the “right” for a woman to murder a child up until birth. This is a living baby who cries and screams for help as the blade of the murderer chops their organs into pieces and packages them for sale. The cheers coming from that room as Governor Healey signed this death sentence into law were drowned out by the cheers of demons rejoicing over this horrible offense against God.

These innocent children have received the death penalty, while the Church has remained extremely passive. Publishing a public statement opposing this abortion proposal just days before it became law is good, but it does not confront this evil with the strength and conviction it demands. Now many innocent lives will be lost…but the bishops still have the power to save souls for eternity.

Governor Healey is a self-proclaimed Catholic who, in addition to this recent grievous offense against life, also causes great scandal through her public same-sex relationship with another woman.
You are a successor of the Apostles, entrusted with administering the Canon Law of the Catholic Church. These laws, whose goal is the “salvation of souls,” leave no question as to what your course of action needs to be:
Canon 915 minces no words: “Those obstinately persevering in manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to holy communion.”
I humbly remind you that it is your sacred duty to protect Governor Maura Healey from the damage she will do to her soul if she receives or intends to receive the Holy Eucharist. While it is the “Bread of Life,” St. Paul also warns: “whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves.” — 1 Corinthians 11:27, 29
I implore you, for the sake of her soul, to correct her privately if you have not already done so, reprehend her publicly, and excommunicate her until she publicly repents of this sin that cries out to heaven.
Aside from her own salvation, which is at risk, there are millions of people around the country watching how the successors of the Apostles react. If we really believe that this is JESUS CHRIST, the Son of the Living God, fully present in the Holy Eucharist, then we need to act like we believe it.
As you take this decision to prayer, please keep in mind the thousands of babies, just days from seeing the light of day for the first time, who will now be murdered with the “blessing” of the law. Think also of the years of guilt those moms and dads will endure when, deep down, they come to grips with the fact that they allowed their children to be killed. You can help stop this by administering the medicine of Canon Law 915.
