Michael Gates is running for the office of Attorney General in California, and with less than two weeks until election day, he is urging Californians to cast a vote to actually make a difference in their state.
“When I’m AG, it all ends,” Gates recently wrote on X.
“Doctors performing surgeries on minors will be prosecuted. School counselors grooming children will be held accountable. Parents’ 14th Amendment rights will be enforced.
Children cannot consent to these procedures as a matter of law. That ends on day one,” he said.
Catholics for Catholics recently announced its endorsement of Gates in the election. He is a proud Catholic, husband, and father of five who served the public for ten years as the elected City Attorney of Huntington Beach.
He built a reputation for supporting law enforcement and prosecuting crimes as they should be, helping to restore quality of life. Last year, he was appointed Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice.
In the DOJ, he actually defended the Seal of Confession for priests in the state of Washington.
Gates has also strongly criticized the lack of enforcement of crimes across California, leading to a general state of lawlessness. According to a post from Gates, he’s already been endorsed by 58 sheriffs.
In addition, Gates is backing Prop 39, a ballot measure that would require government identification to vote in elections.
“Get your friends. Get your neighbors. Get off the couch and canvass,” he wrote. “With Prop 39 on the ballot “and the right turnout, we can win this thing.”
