The Babylon Bee is a beloved parody news service which offers sharp witted commentary on the passing scene, in the form of creative and fabricated news stories. Not to be outdone by satirical fake news, reality has recently taken its shot at some ironic headlines; some humorous, others tragic.
In a recent interview with Time magazine, President Biden was asked about his age and ability to navigate a second term.
The question was prefaced with the claim that large majorities of Americans, including Democrats, are concerned about his age and ability to serve another term as president. Biden answered “I can do it better than anybody you know.” Perhaps, will someone please introduce the interviewer and Biden himself to Donald Trump? Perhaps the President, at his age and mental capacity can be forgiven for forgetting all the different ways in which America was stronger pre-Biden than they are now. That list is long. Milk, eggs, gas, groceries, travel; in short, Americans are objectively worse off now than when Mr. Trump left office. This is not to discount non-economic factors as well. 2019 held less war, terrorism, hostages and immigration than Biden has on his record.
In the same interview Mr. Biden announced some of his foreign policy goals for a theoretical second term.
“There are going to be a billion people in Africa in the next several years. We have to, we have to be a catalyst for change for the benefit, for the, for the better, we have to help them build back better, we have to help them,” he said.
Biden’s build back better initiatives here in the states have resulted in inflation, debt, war, crime, and immigration. Friendly advice from blue-collar Americans: “Run Arica, run like the wind.”
After the nonstop vilification of Donald Trump for 5 years, Joe Biden’s is making a contrived effort to appear in touch by securing the border. This joke is not lost on many who are watching him play games at this juncture in his term. While Biden looks to duplicate some of the same Trump efforts decried by the Left, everyone in the country sees this for what it is.
Not only is it a Hail Mary during a campaign to make it appear like he cares about Americans, he is doing this in the worst possible way. Of course, after millions of illegal immigrants have crossed the border, the horse is out of the barn, and it is too late for targeted limitations of asylum seekers. At this point, all immigration, including legal immigration, should have a minimum of a five-year moratorium put in place – allowing for an equilibration and a massive deportation effort. But true asylum seekers are the only ones who should have been allowed in for the last three years. All Biden had to do was maintain Trump policies and then these people, in the worst of the worst conditions, could still be assisted. What an insult this is to the intelligence of every man, woman and child in America with more than a second-grade education.
Along the lines of travel and migration, isn’t it ironic that as a… (queue sinister sound effects)… CONVICTED FELON, former President Trump, who took so much flak for travel bans and strong border control may be subject to travel restrictions?
For months, anyone with half a brain has been laughing at the Queers for Palestine movement. Trying to show the Queers that their lives in Palestine would be short and persecuted, the right has been dismissed. However, now that pride month is officially in session the two movements are, not surprisingly, at odds with each other. A recent article from The Daily Mail shows discord in the movements. True, Liberalism is rooted in emotion, still at this point it should not be news that Muslim clerics and believers find homosexuality punishable by death as a crime which destroys families and society. So much for intersectionality in Palestine.
Speaking of pride months, a bar in Idaho is celebrating June as “Heterosexual Awesomeness Month.” They’re offering “Hetero Male Monday”, where heterosexual men receive 15% off drinks, while Wednesdays are “Hetero Couples Day.” Not surprisingly, this type of pride is not being met in a positive light. Neither Target, Bud Light, nor the LA Dodgers are falling over themselves to honor this bar.
This from an article by Dennis Prager quoting Jonathan Turley, a professor of law at George Washington University, sums up the show trial perfectly:
“CNN legal analyst Elie Honig recently wrote that there should be concern over a judge being appointed (not randomly selected) who is not just a Biden donor but someone who has earmarked donations for [in the judge’s own words], ‘resisting the Republican Party and Donald Trump’s radical right-wing legacy.’”…“Adding to these concerns,” Turley writes, “is the movement of the third-highest official in the Biden Justice Department to the staff of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg to build the case against Trump. Before joining the case, Matthew Colangelo was also paid by the Democratic National Committee [DNC] for ‘political consulting.’ So, Trump was convicted in a trial with a Biden donor judge, who has a daughter who is a major Democratic operative, a lead prosecutor previously paid as a DNC political consultant and a jury selected in a district that voted roughly 90% against Trump.”
Is this what we have become? Is the rule of law and right to due process dead? More boggling than this; might the man be sentenced on July 11 to jail time? Is it possible that an incarcerated felon might go directly from a jail cell to the Oval Office? It is impossible to overestimate what the Left has done to destroy the America we love.
Back to the man who can do the job of President better than anyone you know. Remember that Joe Biden said that his son Hunter was the “smartest person he knows”? (He really must get out of the basement more, but we digress.) Would the smartest man YOU know sleep with and then addict to crack the widow of your dead brother? Just wondering. Call it food for thought. What a classless and trashy first family we have. Still, these are the people who look down their noses at millions of workaday people who hold up this great country of ours.
At this writing Mr. Biden is in France celebrating the 80th anniversary of D-Day. Biden’s staff are telling media that Hunter is never far from his mind, and that the President is worried about his son and his future. Join the club. After what Biden has done to this country, it is appropriate for him to suffer the same fears of the rest of the country about the future of their children. Still yet, how would he feel if Hunter were a 75-year-old younger sister? The Biden administration has just successfully prosecuted an elderly woman, in ill health, for praying at an abortion clinic. The woman has received two years in jail even after her husband begged the court, fearing that the woman would die alone in jail.
Last, but certainly not least, and by far the most tragic, is this story. A husband and wife were attacked after going on a date in a Chicago neighborhood at 8:30 pm on Friday, May 31st. The couple found themselves surrounded by teens and were kicked, stomped on, and punched repeatedly. Neither the man, nor the woman, were robbed. This was just violence for the sake of violence. The woman, Nina, was pepper-sprayed and kicked in her stomach. She was two weeks pregnant, and has lost the baby. Two of the attackers, a 14-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl were caught. Both were charged with one count of simple misdemeanor battery. Chicago Alderman Brian Hopkins, D-Ward 2, whose district includes this neighborhood, has asked the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office to elevate the charges.
“We’re asking the state’s attorneys to consider upgrading those charges to felony charges resulting in great bodily harm.”
The only reason that any charges might be elevated, in fact the only reason this assault made national news, is because of the loss of the baby. A man and woman being beaten in the street is not, sadly, a story in many Democrat-run large city hellscapes in this country. And misdemeanor crimes in those dystopian areas are less and less frequently prosecuted. It will be very interesting to see if charges are upgraded. If they are, and a decent people can hope that they are, then we can attest that to the baby. That would not be irony, but hypocrisy of the highest order. According to the profoundly pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute, Illinois hosts the highest number of off shore abortions in the country, those performed in Illinois because of home state bans. In 2023, Illinois aborto-tourism was higher than that of the next two highest abortion havens, North Carolina and New Mexico, combined. If this poor baby was lost in an Illinois abortuary it would not be a story. If Illinois further prosecutes these thugs for the sake of the baby, it suggests that they have no consistency. If they don’t elevate the prosecution, it suggests that they have no soul.
