In the 19th and early 20th centuries the term “N.I.N.A” came to be used in store front windows on the east coast of the United States. The phrase also appeared in newspaper advertisements and help wanted ads. “No Irish need apply”, and variations of it became used to describe the discrimination Irish immigrants faced when looking for jobs. Today a similar paradigm permeates the Democrat Party.
It is widely accepted that the final two choices to join Kamala Harris’ ticket for her presidential campaign came down to Minnesota Governor, Tim Walz and Pennsylvania Governor, Josh Shapiro. Many believe that the prospect of Shapiro, the sitting and relatively popular liberal governor from a state that defines battleground, had Republicans nervous. It would have been the shrewd move by Harris, both to secure assistance in a very purple Pennsylvania, and to shore up support from traditionally liberal Jews beleaguered by recent madness in the Democrat Party.
But conscription of the Jewish Shapiro, Democrat strategists felt, endangered the “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” votes from Muslims in Michigan and the newly Muslim adjacent liberals on college campuses all over the country. The smelly, man-bunned hipsters and overweight lesbians who have recently come out of the antisemitic closet would not have swallowed well a Jewish man on the ticket.
Instead, she called for Walz out of the bullpen. Despite significant baggage. To define just how leftist Walz is, and the considerable weight he brings to the ticket, one must only look at about a half dozen different issues. He makes Josh Shapiro look like Ben Shapiro.
Walz is the among the most radical and dangerous leftist governors in the Country. His record on immigration is welcoming. He is a devout believer in Sanctuary States and Sanctuary Cities. He has signed laws granting illegals healthcare, housing and tuition assistance.
In a bill defining sexual orientation, Walz supported an amendment in which his adviser crossed out the section of the bill that expressly precluded pedophiles from falling under the definition of sexual orientation. In the original bill, the definition “sexual orientation” delineated which people were protected under the Minnesota Human Rights Statute. This old definition explicitly excluded pedophiles through the addition of this phrase to the definition: “Sexual Orientation” does not include a physical or sexual attachment to children by an adult. Walz allowed for that disclaimer to be removed from the bill – which was adopted.

Walz is the most pro-abortion politician in the country, which says quite a lot. In 2022 Walz’s state health agency published a required abortion-statistics report. It reported that on his watch, five infants were “born alive” in 2021 during failed abortions, and none was provided life-saving care. Three other infants were “born alive” during abortions in 2019, Walz’s first year as governor, and they too perished without life-saving care. Minnesota was the rare state to require such born-alive abortions to be publicly reported, but in 2023, Walz worked with the new Democrat-controlled Legislature to eliminate both the reporting requirement and the state’s legal obligation for doctors, nurses and medical professionals to administer life-saving care to infants born alive during an abortion procedure. His barbaric policies, specifically changed to accommodate his views, leave children, born alive, to die alone on a cold sterile table.
Furthermore, Ilhan Omar loves him, and he made comments about building ladders for illegals to get over Trump’s border wall. He has been given the nickname “Tampon Tim” for placing feminine hygiene products in the boys’ bathrooms of public schools and is strongly in favor of sterilization and mutilation of children in the name of transgender care. This is crucial in a time when California has just enacted laws banning school from any disclosure of a student’s gender identity or sexual orientation to any person without the child’s permission. If you want your children taken away from you, vote Harris/Walz. And he was quoted last week as saying “Don’t ever shy away from our progressive values. One person’s socialism is another person’s neighborliness.” Good Heavens.

Several former military cohorts of him have come out of the shadows to report how in 2004 he was promoted to Command Sergeant Major but that in in early 2005, a warning order was issued to his battalion, the 1-125th Field Artillery, which included the position he was serving in, to prepare to be mobilized for active duty for a deployment to Iraq. On May 16th, 2005 he quit, leaving the 1-125th Field Artillery Battalion and its Soldiers hanging; without its senior Non-Commissioned Officer, as the battalion prepared for war.
As important as any knock on the radical, and seemingly angry leftist, no one must be allowed to forget that as Governor he allowed Minnesota to burn during the annus horribilis of the fentanyl death of George Floyd. The video of the police station burning to the ground makes it clear the side which he chose between law and order or chaos and crime. Remember Covid? No restrictions, masks, 6 feet guidelines, curve flattening, nor any other enforcement were placed on the looters and rioters who destroyed Minneapolis.

A couple of random thoughts here. Consider.
Number one, this writer believes that Harris shied away from choosing the superior Shapiro, from a battleground state because he is Jewish. However, it is at the same time possible that Walz was selected over the ambitious Shapiro because the cackling Vice President did not want to be overshadowed by the articulate man who wants to be president in his own right.
Secondly, there is a lesson to be learned by the behavior of Josh Shapiro in the two weeks since his name was rumored on the short list for VP. He sold out his faith, doing anything that he could to make himself tolerable to the radical left. He toned down, and all but renounced his faith. And he looks the fool now for having done so in vain. Keeping this in mind, why would any Jew vote for this ticket or Shapiro himself ever again? But we have seen similar scenes play out before. Recall the fawning lights under which the media portrayed Mitt Romney and John McCain. Remember how once primaries were over how the media halted its positive portrayal of successful former Presidents McCain and Romney? No, it is dangerous and hardly worth it to compromise one’s beliefs. Those who do so for the sake of advancement or positive press delude themselves and are foolish. One of the reasons that former President Trump is so hated is that he refuses to do this. He is courageous and fearless calling the media out for what they are, namely “Fake News”. It is a poorly calculated gambit for a devout Jew or Catholic – Senator JD Vance, for example – to compromise their faith for what is a false glimmer of positive press or a leg up. “For what shall it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his soul?” [Mark 8: 36]
Lastly, it is noteworthy that the establishment and the leftist do not hold protestants and Muslims with the same contempt as devout Catholics and Jews. And really, only Catholics are readily expected by pundits, as if by foregone conclusion, to dilute their faith in order to be granted access into the mainstream of American politics. It is as if one has to prove that he is an apostate before being considered. Look at Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, and Gavin Newsom. They sold out a long time ago. A candidate can be Catholic, but a candidate can’t be Catholic Catholic.”
