Millions of Americans across the country had been following this event and the lead-up to this day.
You have been sending your prayers, words of encouragement, and affirming notes of support.
Last night, with a sold-out crowd, we hosted our third annual Catholic Prayer for America Gala on the Feast of St. Joseph!
This event took place in the heart of the nation’s capital just blocks away from the White House. We brought to the stage the most powerful lineup that Catholics for Catholics has ever had. Every speaker kept the focus on Christ and Our Lady and praying for this country!
Among the most powerful moments of the night, we heard from Candace Owens who shared about her love for the Blessed Virgin Mary and her profound experiences in coming to know Our Lady and learning about the Miraculous Medal.
One of the crowd favorites was the moment we heard from the oldest bishop in America, who is not only 102 years old, but a World War II veteran and American hero. The words of wisdom he shared for us at this 250th anniversary of the country are something every catholic should listen to.
We were blessed to have a Prince of the Catholic Church, Cardinal Gerhard Müller, address the gathering last night with words of confirmation of our mission to convert this nation to Christ.
Another one of our awards was given to Eduardo Verástegui for his work in ending human trafficking. He referred to our country as an “amazing blessing” and proudly stated: “God bless America!”
As incredible as all of the speakers were, the culminating moment of the night was when Bishop Lippert came all the way from Papua New Guinea (American by birth, but serving there) and processed in with the Holy Eucharist, bringing Christ onto the stage. We ended the night with Eucharistic Adoration.
At the end of the day, we are all sinners, but that moment, which I invite you all to watch on our livestream below, touched the hearts of millions across the country as we knelt before Our Lord in the Eucharist.
It was a reminder that the only thing that can save America is Christ. This is what Catholics for Catholics is all about. We back the frontline warriors who are fighting for God in America with the power of our Catholic faith.
Thank you all for your support, and see you all next year on March 19, 2027 for the fourth annual Catholic Prayer for America gala!
